YesKidzCan! Launches to Inspire Kids to Give!

Today marks the launch of YesKidzCan!®, a do-good company that brings “giving experiences” into young kids" lives (around grades K-5) by providing parents with an array of philanthropic tools and resources to use -- in the home. Studies show that when volunteerism is part of young kids’ lives, they have greater pride, self-esteem, and continue to volunteer as they get older.

“We call a ‘giving experience’ any teachable, memorable, or enjoyable moment that reinforces the value of giving back for parents and kids,” say co-founders Julie Chapman and Lisa Novick. YesKidzCan!’s cool tools include: uncomplicated, fun, and worthwhile community service projects packaged in Act of Kindness Kits, which are doable in the home in 1-2 hours; The Giving Experience – a blog filled with do-good ideas; KidzPlace! (Coming soon!) – a free, online global community where parents post and applaud their kids’ service activities and include photos, ideas, and creative twists; KidzBookReview – free, regular recommendations of books about the spirit of giving; KidzClub How-to Guide – a free guide for parents and groups who want to start a service club; and, Weekly Dinner Topics.

YesKidzCan! is not just for kids. Schools, community organizations, faith groups, and teens can easily adapt our resources for their programs or service requirements.

“Kids can change our world one kind act at a time,” stress Chapman and Novick, “and we want to invest in the next generation of community-minded leaders by donating the company’s net profits to children’s causes.” Chapman and Novick have a passion for bringing together business and philanthropy to advance social causes. They have collaborated for the past 20 years on entrepreneurial endeavors in the field of philanthropy.
