YesKidzCan! provides inspiring tools to teach and energize our kids about changing our world, while making it uncomplicated and rewarding for parents. With YesKidzCan!, kids learn that kind acts – no matter what their size or complexity – can make a difference.

Here’s how we do it:

  • Social KidPreneurz Awards Program:  We designed this first-of-its-kind awards program to help kids (grades 3-8) recognize they have what it takes to be social entrepreneurs by creating a simple business activity that raises money to help solve social problems.  Kids can set up a lemonade stand, make and sell bracelets, or create a dog walking service -- whereever their imagination takes them!  Applicants have the chance to win $100 seed money to support their efforts to sell a product or service that benefits a cause.
  • Act of Kindness Community Service Project Kits: Parents, educators, scout leaders, or community or faith leaders can download free "Act of Kindness" community service kits which include step-by-step instructions (donation recipients, timeframes, shopping lists, and ideas for different ages or interests) for a single service project designed for elementary and middle school kids and doable at home, in school, or at another location in one to two hours! YesKidzCan! kid-tests each activity to ensure that all the projects are age-appropriate and super fun! Activities range from baking dog biscuits and donating them to local shelters to painting murals to brighten hospital hallways.

To conduct these kids community service projects, you do not have to become a member of a national organization, adhere to guidelines, or make large financial commitments.  Click here to see our Community Service Project Kits.

Teenagers will also find our activities fun and interesting. They can assemble friends and develop their own spin  community service idea or explore if they can fulfill their faith group or school community service requirements by leading young kids through a YesKidzCan! activity... once or on a regular basis.
  • Service Tools:  KidzFreeTools helps recognize, reward and add fun to the good stuff your kids are doing. These include our KidzClub How-to Guide - a resource that provides guidance for people who want to bring kids together in a regular club format to work on community service projects and build camaraderie at the same time; "You Did Good" certificates - certificates that can be customized for kids to applaud their achievements; and "Give Tags" - our version of a gift tag that can be attached to donated items.
  •  KidzPlace!: KidzPlace! is our free, online global community that allows parents or commuity leaders to regularly post and applaud their kids' giving experiences. As more  stories are shared, KidzPlace! will grow into a worldwide database about kind acts kids are doing around the globe.kReview recommends books for kids about acts of kindness.
  • Our Blog:  "The Giving Experience blog lets us share insights and advice on giving to charity and is packed with good-deed ideas.
  • Weekly Dinner Topics: Weekly Dinner Topics are questions we provide on a regular basis to generate interesting and educational topics of conversation about charitable giving at your dinner table (or any other time)!
  • BookReview:  KidzBookReview recommends books for kids about acts of kindness.
